ARPA-E: Changing What’s Possible
The U.S. Department of Energy’s website needed a fresh approach for the new digital age. I joined the newly formed Office of Digital Strategy in the role of Creative Director to lead strategic brand, narrative, design and communications efforts supporting Energy Secretary Steven Chu's climate and energy initiatives. The 18 month effort produced the award-winning reboot of energy.gov, setting the bar for cabinet level agency websites, and developing a reliable framework for story and content development across 12 major program offices, 17 all national laboratories, and commercial high technology companies. In the lead up to the launch of energy.gov the Office of Digital Strategy produced regular weekly broadcast and social content that amplified stories of innovative projects for Congress, key national and international stakeholders, and the US public - driving support for policy and public-private investment.
